Waterside is an 8 acre smallholding near the village of Carnmenellis overlooking Stithian’s Reservoir and Nature Reserve in West Cornwall. Camper vans, mobile homes, tents and well behaved dogs are welcome.
With Westerly views across Stithian’s Reservoir and its nature reserve, local leisure facilities include fly-fishing, sailing, sail boarding, kayaking and rowing, walking, cycling, riding, surfing and sea fishing.
From Waterside a network of footpaths, bridleways and public transport allow easy exploration of the local countryside and villages. The Cornwall Mining Landscape World Heritage site surrounds us and the Lizard Peninsula and its heaths and Lands End to the west. The Heritage Coast walk and the town of Falmouth with its docks and harbour-side eateries and city of Truro, its Cathedral and Cattle Market - are all within a short distance.
Surfing and the Coast; local surf beaches include Portreath, Porthtowan, Fistral (Newquay), Perranporth, Gwithian, Sennen, Watergate Bay, Praa Sands and St Ives (Porthmeor) other beaches include the spectacular Loe Bar and isolated Gunwalloe; all of which can be reached by bus and/or train and cycle or car within a short drive.
Friendly local pubs for a drink and/or food, restaurants and character eateries, cinemas, open air theatres at Minnack and Gwennap; including the Lost Gardens of Heligan and with the stunning Coastal Walks there is no shortage of things to do and places to explore at any time of year and in any weather.
Prices as follows:
Tents - £10 per person per night (concessions £7.50)
Tepees - £20 per person per night (concessions £12.50)
Campervans/mobile homes - £15 per person per night (concessions £8.50)
Weekly rates can be negotiated for all of the above. We bave a range of 2 person tents and up to 6 person teepees available for an additional £3.50 per person per night
We also host hand-fastings, naming ceremonies and special spiritual celebrations conducted by a fully qualified local druid with 30 years experience. Please ask for more details......
